Process systems engineering; long-term chemical storage of renewable energy; the production, distribution and use of Green ammonia; computer-based support systems for the formulation of policies related to transport, energy and water.
Biography:
René is a Reader in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford and Senior Tutor for Engineering at New College. He holds a BEng from UNAM (Mexico), and an MSc and PhD from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA), all of them in Chemical Engineering.
His research interests are around Process Systems Engineering. Since 2014 he has focused on long-term chemical storage of renewable energy and the production, distribution and use of Green ammonia.
