Dr. James Barth

Head of Performance and Aerothermal Engineering, Reaction Engines

Thermal management of novel engine architectures.

Biography:

James leads the performance and aerothermal engineering team at Reaction Engines, ensuring they can grow and flourish in their careers. He is responsible for the core thermofluid functional capabilities within the company, including in-house and commercial tools.

Before joining Reaction Engines, James gained an MSc in Space Studies from International Space University. He also completed a PhD on improving hydrogen-fuelled scramjet performance to make it suitable for space launch applications.
