Bruce Levell

Visiting Professor at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Oxford

Interests:

Sedimentary basins, and the extent to which the preserved portions of the geological record are representative  of the full sequence of geological events and depositional conditions.

Biography:

Bruce began his career in the hydrocarbon Industry, working for Royal Dutch Shell for 35 years ending up as Chief Scientist Geology, VP of Exploration New Ventures, and VP Emerging Technologies. The latter post involved leading research into scientific and business ideas for Shell’s new suite of investments in renewable energy.

While his day job is now in Geology, Bruce retains his interest in renewable energy acquired while working for Shell. He’s keen to apply his knowledge and experience to accelerating the roll-out of key renewable technologies including Green Ammonia.
